ABOUT

NÉAD TO SING is run by singing teacher and vocal coach Néad Cristaudo (they/them). Néad created the studio with a goal to foster an environment for people of all ages and levels of ability to explore their voices in a healthy and joyful way.

Néad is a graduate of UNSW’s Bachelor of Music where they majored in vocal pedagogy, graduating with distinction in 2021. Prior to their Bachelor they also obtained a Diploma of Musical Theatre from Brent Street in 2015. Through these studies Néad has gained a great love and understanding of the voice and its vast range of capabilities. While they specialise in the teaching of Musical Theatre and Pop vocal, their studies have also allowed them to gain significant knowledge in the teaching of an array of genres and styles.

In addition to teaching from their own studio, Néad has been apart of the incredible vocal staff at Brent Street since 2021, where they are responsible for the private singing lessons of many wonderful students.

Ultimately, Néad is passionate in their belief that anyone can sing, if you have a speaking voice you have a singing voice. Néad is here for you if you want to learn more about your voice, expand your skillset as a vocalist or if you simply just love to sing.

NÉAD TO SING strives to be a proudly queer, neurodiverse and disability friendly space that has deep acknowledgement and respect for the Gadigal land on which it operates. Néad is committed to the goal that all their students, from all walks of life, feel welcome, safe and heard in their lessons.

Services

Néad’s Singing Lessons are specifically designed to focus on teaching the student to sing. Focusing on honing singing technique, choosing repertoire to specifically progress goals, learning about vocal anatomy and of course having fun!

Singing lessons can be 30 minutes ($60), 45 minutes ($90) or an hour ($110).

I find 30 minutes to be best for primary school age children, 45 minutes or an hour is best for high school students and adults.

Néad’s Vocal Coaching sessions are more tailored towards experienced singers who are looking to grow their skills in song interpretation, acting through song and audition preparation.

Coaching sessions are also perfect for those preparing a role/cabaret/showreel.

Coaching sessions also include in studio self tape filming!

Coaching sessions can be 45 minutes ($90) or an hour ($110).

Songwriting Mentorship is something Néad is very passionate about. These sessions are designed to bring out the songs in people! Someone interested in songwriting mentorship may come to a session with some chords, a few lyrics written down, or just a melody/concept and Néad will work with them to create a songwriting process that works for them!

Néad loves being a sounding board for people’s ideas and being a nerd about music, so these sessions are very collaborative and fun!

Songwriting sessions can be anywhere from 45 minutes to two hours long ($100 p/h).
